Conscription services: An option for youth building

With my tour to Singapore and Cambodia completed after spending almost 49 days in the two nation, I was able to understand the economy and livelihood of the ASEAN nations. With one of the nation on a long term development since its independence and a Democratic country while the other one being a Monarchy both enjoying their own existence in a fulfil manner.

Still, if taking the general perspective of the common people one could find that both of the ethnic or the expatriate population were happy in their own ways. the common people hardly care about being rule by a Monarch or any Political party. The only thing which they are concerned about is that, they should have a "Premier" who should take care and build nation step by step.

Nobody, wants or look forward for a change which gets immediately as the Old proverb says "The slow and steady wins the race". When we compare our own country with these two nations we find that at least one of the basic thing is missing which is the Happiness Index. If we talk about today's youth character they are changing at a pace which can take the generation ahead. I could remember a person in Singapore, from India who offered SGD 20 without introducing himself to me when my Credit card got blocked. At, the same time I cannot forget the Taxi driver who sometimes refused to take money from me by knowing that I am an Indian Citizen.

According to Our own Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi who has inaugurated the PIO meet in New Delhi, we have a longiness for our nation when we are outside of our own Country  for more details refer to: http://www.firstpost.com/india/narendra-modi-inaugurates-first-pio-parliamentarian-meet-says-achievements-of-diaspora-a-point-of-pride-for-country-4294383.html

One, could understand that the Indian diaspora helps the people who are of the Indian origin even when you are outside the country. There, they rise above the issues of caste, creed, religion and other ethnic and do not think twice about socio-economic differences. Now, if we want to initiate the same culture in India we can do it by little help from Indian Government and our Universities. With, many of the students from all class of life going for Education at Bachelor level, a major change in thinking can be done.

It is not necessary that a person who is going to the IMA, Dehradun can be an officer but also the common person's children can be an officer by their thought and their way of life. With, most of the countries around the World taking Conscription services in their stride for the character building of their youth and Singapore, Cambodia being few of those it makes us to rethink that this could be the next big change for the Indian democracy.

Although, the initiative was taken by few of the Rajya Sabha Employees but it got voted out and no further initiative was taken, The links could be seen at: http://www.tribuneindia.com/news/sunday-special/kaleidoscope/should-military-training-be-mandatory/15225.html

Now, my simple thinking about this thinking is that the Government says that We cannot spend money on such measures but at the same time they can spend on the misguided youth leaders like Kanhaiya KUmar, Jignesh Motwani and similar other leaders who stand nowhere when it comes to the seasoned leaders. Our Universities will not produce a Millitary person who can understand the basic warfare to defend his home or save their citizens during any crisis such as any form of natural or man made disaster.

Conscription services: Deaddiction and Anti-harassment character building

With the youth character building- a need of the hour it is a necessity that we should come up above caste, creed, religion and such other political stigmas. We, the people of India can think that our Universities are becoming a place where students are going through drug and other social evils which leads to demoralized character of the youth.
The various kinds of Deaddiction and harassment will come down at a level and the ugly head of different social evils will die their own death.

Here is the link (https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/countries-with-mandatory-military-service.html )which will let you think deeply that is there only countries which has a Millitary rhetoric in the past are going for the Millitary training for the youth or the likes of the most developed nations go for the Millitary training to build the nation.

Now, with my few days or almost tow months in the two of the prominent ASEAN Nation, I could understand that the country has deep bonding among themselves i.e. the citizens are mutually very much intertwined with each other. They, look for each other happiness and can also serve in the interest of their national first and then think about others.

This, shows in their character which has not of course been build in one day. We as I have mentioned above that feel proud about our legacy or the old past where our So called Zamindar have been "Rai Bahadur" or "Khan Bahadur" but do not think that we have not inherited a legacy which says that all of us have fought to develop our nation.

Here, the Nation surely stands in every turmoil and we appreciate but we have to bring our Youth to more of constructive services. One, cannot put the burden of an army training for a 14-15 year youth but once they reach to the Bachelor level of studies they certainly need a Millitary training which will not only build their character but will give them a sense of pride and honour.

I have been to the University of Delhi, Punjab University and the Banaras Hindu University although not for study purpose but to give either PHD Exams or to know more about the co-curriculum as I have taken education through Private Institutions and my last College was Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune , SDL for my M.A. in Sociology. Now, mentioning the name of these Universities is important here as there has been heavy deployment of The police or the Paramilitary forces in the premises.

If , one thinks about an Army Education, one can help the Youth by taking the services of our respected Army General or even the Colonel to come on a Weekly basis and give lectures to the youth on the glorious past of our Army. Also, the ground level forces can give the necessary army training to build the character  of the Nation which will be the best in terms of Physical training leading the youth to a culture of Sports and Human Welfare.

This will not create any burden on the Indian Government and the Exchequer along with CAG will not have to pay anything extra either to the Army and neither there will be depletion of resources at any level.
