One thing which I remember in my life is that when I have completed Class V a person called Manohar who was somewhere not so near to us and more near to my Uncle called Raju asked my father that the name which is "Mukesh Kumar" looks quite similar and should be changed into some bigger and maybe prominent name. I was not known to the motive of any kind and immediately my father said that the name will remain Mukesh Kumar as in all the official ways the name remains the same.
Now, if I see to some people whom I could not understand from near or far their name gets frequently changed from the social sites to the character which they portray in real life. Sometimes, the life in them is so much into different portrayals that after every few months they say that they belong to a new name and if you look at them and call them by the original name they are found to be giving a question mark look and with that they say Oh that sounds to be quite a primitive name.
A Ganesh by any other name will remain Ganesh and his good deeds will carry in life but the fact of the matter is that in today's world when everything is bound in your life is about the certifications which you carry and your thoughts portray into your action and your deeds then one has to understand that how many times one can change the name.
It is quite strange to me that a person who is not into any industry which could be near to the film and movie industries also change the name on a daily basis. It seems that if one sees the name of their own coming into many kinds of issues they change their name and with that, the first step in life comes which is loss of self-confidence.
The other thing is that today the actors who are not satisfied by their screen presence try to get as many names and portray five characters and with that the responsibility of being a character comes to an end. If I remember actors like Shri Ashok Kumar and Shri Sunil Dutt throughout their life span they carried the same name and their thought process along with acting style remain the same. Also, fan the following use to stick to the name along with the indigenous style which they use to portray such as Shri Dilip Kumar who is known to be very much known to the people since the time of the pre-independence was known for portraying the character of being a simple looking person with the famous way of making the person laugh and giggle throughout the movie and at the other end also portrayed serious character in the movies like "Karma".
Sometimes, it feels that people change their name after getting into some kind of crime and if they find themselves to be into greater issues the layer immediately changes their name and thus they are found to be Scott free. The same could be said about the woman who once they change their religion get into name change scenario and since they are quite adaptive in nature it becomes easy for them to get into the mold of getting a life of their own through a name change.
Now, with the help of "Aadhar Card" which has got an easy way to change the name and Date of Birth it makes easy to get into the name change scenario and "One name endless possibilities, frequent name change almost Game Over" has become just an adage but somewhere down the line the person has many sweet memories with his or her name and once it gets changed the other do not find the attachment which was found or maybe rarely found nowadays along with the near about possibility of carrying that monkey on the back in the name of Caste system gets over and the person is free to live life easily and breathe freely on his own ways which are no more a concern for the society these days!
