With Education being the prime agenda these days and Class X-XII Board exams knocking on the door, it is the time to understand that all the exams which you are going to give may or may not shape your career. As it is for many students who love to go for a different vocational course but from the poor states like Bihar and Jharkhand come out thinking about the IIT.
With that, they join the FIITJEE Coaching institutes and another move towards Kota, Rajasthan, which gives them an opportunity to join the IIT and at times some of them take the different way towards death as it is their own way to get away from this revengeful world which is always there to laugh on every failure.
The parents then look to some other ward to get into another success story and with that, the Indian education dream goes on. Now, the question comes in mind is that in the time when there are education portals like BYJU's or many other apps do we still need to have the same thought about giving the status of a demi-God to the teachers who first think about their own children's growth, then think about the growth of those girls whom they must have sent into some illicit relationship and vice versa and the last comes the mediocre in their mind who would have cried thousand tears before them or the other ones who could have taught them some good lessons.
The fact of the matter is that students do not respect teachers but they respect the subject in which they find the highest number in the class and gradually stick to the subjects which help them to get a good percentage in the class.
There are times when we hear that students have changed the nation but if I remember Mr. Sameer Mohanty, who was the favorite student cum teacher of Holy Cross School, as he studied till Class XII at the same school and then went to ITI, Bhubaneshwar. After coming back to the same school he has become every student's favorite and said to me once...Ya to tum bahut ache ban jao, ya bahut wicked ban jao, nobody remembers the mediocre ones...I choose to be the other category where I thought that even if my marks will not reflect me as a better person but my values will take me to a better pedestal.
Unfortunately, even after doing my M.A. Sociology and according to my own thought process of working hard I just manage my life and the same other school students grin on me which at times creates a difference.
I still feel happy and satisfied that the so-called social revolution by the fools who are not actually the students and are the bonded labors died away without any cause and few got jailed and others just started thinking about their bread and butter which is far more necessary as you cannot make a Singapore or a Dubai by such revolution and the poorer the man is in India the more the likes of the pimps and prostitutes will get benefits out of it!
