Reverse Swing and Swing bowling died in India-Pakistan!

When we see the Cricket Skills in Bowler we find Slow-Arm Fast Medium or the Leg Spinners. The two important components which are Swing bowlers and Off-Spinners are almost dying cricket skills. Now, the fact of the matter these types of bowling need a little bit of open breeze and thus the bowling flourishes.

Even, in places like Ranchi, the Stadium is a high tier one which is having seven tiers and the stadium has a capacity of 45,000-50,000. The advantage could be seen on the part of batsmen and the scores which could be seen in Twenty-20 matches reach 200 runs and above. The style is just reckless batting with no concept of bowler reading the mind of batsmen. Neither, they look for the footwork nor remember the last shot played by a batsman in the consecutive overs and also the last bowl which was hit for four is followed by four boundaries or 5 sixes.

It shows how badly this sport is dying and the simple excuse is the cricket is favoring the batsmen instead of bowlers. The bowlers could be seen as thin and those who do not have any substance in their body but the tall and lanky are preferred as if the bowler will bowl from the second floor of the balcony and the batsmen will be terrified.

While the wicket hardly reaches the batsmen knee or thigh size. Most of the time the batsmen speak their flaws after every ball which is bowled to them and it is the truth that while playing however smart a batsmen is will not speak the just opposite,

Now, if we see that the reverse swing and swing bowling died in India-Pakistan it is the fact of the matter and these are the reasons behind it:

None of the stadiums are open-air where the ball could take the assistance of the wind and could pierce the wicket. Most of the stadiums are high structure concrete grounds where the exit is fine but there is no air inlet towards the ground level.

While most of Australia and New Zealand along with England are known to be open-air stadiums such as Wellington Oval or even in Kingsmead, Durban the stadium has a quite open structure with people sitting on the ground and enjoying the match.

A few years back, Feroze Shah Kotla has the same kind of structure where the stadium was open with two ends and till the year 2005, the stadium uses to give some great matches with better results. But, with its renovation, the game certainly did not produce any charm and it has become a dust bowling wicket and the weather also does not favor the cricket here anymore.

The same could be said for Spin bowlers where the Off spin legacy has got over. It was very much like the spin bowlers use to tie the legs with his spell, but now the same could be said where the leg-spin is just easy to play and every ball goes off the park for a long six.

In this way, one could easily find that that the person who is the head of the architect company could get back into making stadiums which does not make much of the interest and thus neither the bowling flourishes nor the pitches are suitable thus making the cricket a redundant game with less excitement and no knowledge to carry for the coming generation!
