Although this could be an issue which could touch the sentiments of many but Indian Muslims are solely responsible for their own backwardness. Staying at Ghaziabad, U.P. from past many years I could see that the majority of the population in Muslims constitute of those who are socially backward, uneducated and still carry the same rhetoric against the Indian mindset of being biased against the Indian Union and law.
It's a pity that the government still play the card of Mandir-Masjid issue and this gives it a silly way to enhance their vote bank. With the majority of the population who are Hindu in any region of U.P., it gives a great social backlash to this already poverty-stricken community who still believes that education is all about the nearness to madrasas and the much-advanced education system is not needed for the poor and the needy students.
If we talk about much of the people who form this population then they are either from the people who are into different categories such as small-time labor, electricians, mechanics or drivers of three-wheelers and others such occupation. Although a community which gives due importance to Allah and believes in offering namaj still they have been deprived of all those social happiness which comes from being an educated person.
It's good to see that during the month of the Haj yatra most of the people are coming from the pilgrimage and this gives a great way to lead a happy life thereafter. It is a big thing that people from this religion still follow the rituals and give importance to the superiority of Allah.
But one could certainly say that if a little bit of rigidity should come out and they pay attention towards teaching students in a good school it will certainly make a lot of difference in their attitude and will give them a way to fight against social injustice and discrimination thus giving them an equal participation in Indian society, government and also the judiciary system.
