Cricket: The only Indian game loved by all do not find takers post 40!

Cricket and India stand testimony to each other. People since after 1983 World Cup Win took the sports to their heart and the students from every nooks and corner took to the streets in small towns and started playing Cricket from where the big names after Sir Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev ji and many others emerged.

Now, as our captain cool which is Mahendra Singh Dhoni who is no more a captain but still wins the heart with his pure smile and is active into One-dayers and Twenty-20's is approaching 40 after few years and the same with the players like Sachin Sir and Sehwag sir who are still active into cricket but can be tagged as veterans one thing which hurts my mind is that the tagline of some famous movie where it says Cricketers ki jawani khatam, kahani khatam as there is nothing called Veterans Cricket Association in India.

With the different local boards where one could see at times the felicitation of the cricketers and also during the major events in India the old cricketers are asked to go for a round of cricket stadium and the Sourabh Dada smiling or the Kapil Dev with his smiling assassin looks reminds us of their glorious days. But the question is apart from giving them an opportunity to do the work as commentators by different news channel where one could see the smartest ever Md. Azharuddin speaking to the people or any other person coming up we cannot see Manoj Prabhakar helping with his finer nuances of cricket bowling skills to any kid and is lost into oblivion.

Apart from few ones like Ravi Shastri who is a coach and Anil Kumble who is an active member of BCCI which is the world's richest cricket board one cannot see anything left in cricket after the retirement at a certain age from cricket in India. On the contrary, if we see the other cricket boards such as Cricket Australia they have Veterans cricketers association and if one could visit their website we will find that they are actively involved to the extent where they have not hanged their sports and are into active cricket. The reference here is for the people to know more through the link:  http://www.veteranscricketaustralia.com.au/

It shows that Cricket could be a game not only for the youth but a way to get into a mode of being fit and fine even after the age 40, 50 or above as most of the people who are into this sport go for the other games such as golfs and snooker to be active or finally take the advantage of their popularity and get into politics.

If only a veteran cricketers association gets active in India not only such pool of talented players which India produce will give the opportunity to stick to the game and produce a more capable pool of players under their wings but help them to enjoy the everlasting energy and success which a sports person needs in life to get into the mode which is about the fun remaining forever in life!
